Position Overview:
- The role holder will be responsible for writing, analyzing, strategizing, and optimizing promotional content to enhance audience engagement and drive growth for business.
- The role typically involves working closely with growth, marketing, creative teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that promotional materials resonate with target audiences and meet the desired marketing metrics.
- This role is all about optimizing existing content
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation (Promo)
- Write promos (short and long form) for our new and existing Content Library, that would drive users to Install the app.
- Have a deep understanding of Pop Culture references, tropes that could be used to write compelling Promos.
- Filter content from Youtube and other popular platforms and create short summaries and snippets
- Develop scripts for video promos, trailers that effectively communicate the desired messages.
Asset Optimization & Performance Tracking
- Learn to interpret the ad performance of the promos written, to understand user behavior.
- Optimize the scripts and create new variations basis data led learning Process Management
- Report to the Creative Lead and communicate key updates and action items effectively as per defined timelines.
- Keep recorded track of the work according to process templates.
- Be part of the promo production testing phase, which may include giving feedback on Voice Overs, Sound Design and Visuals.
Market Research:
- Conduct market research to understand audience preferences, trends, and
competitor strategies. - Stay updated with industry trends, emerging platforms, and creative techniques that can be leveraged in promotional content.
Job requirements

- Writer background with a good sense of pop culture & viral trends performance marketing or similar; Comfortable working with ads managers -- they understand the metrics of IG, Facebook & Tiktok; optimizing for cost per acquisition
- Data analytics - use analytics to drive/finetune the creative; like performance marketing; understands how to use data inferences to effectively 'hack the narrative' What is in the zeitgeist, how can we use American pop culture to drive these storylines Iterating on the same idea but not writing your own
- SW/data platforms exp? nonimportant; they have a data team internally and expectation is for creative promo analysts to become more comfortable interpreting the raw data over time, but meta-ads manager platform is straightforward
Hard requirements (education, certifications)
- No Ideal years of experience More interested in performance on writing assessment.
- Copy writers for ad campaigns; content creators; tabloid / gossip column writers; Advertising and Marketing, Podcasting, Journalism, Influencer Marketing, Digital Media Companies, E-learning and Gaming etc.
