Job Summary
Want to join a fast-paced, exciting team serving millions of users daily across 20+ device families? We seek an enthusiastic and experienced senior product manager to lead our efforts in evolving the Hulu product experience.
Hulu is the home of a beloved general entertainment streaming experience for over 15 years, and the Hulu product team is responsible for a reliable and engaging experience across dozens of device form factors, in and out of playback. Keeping the experience compelling, satisfying, and familiar, regardless of what device is in use, is the highest priority. You will work closely with counterparts in engineering, product management, design, and executive teams, to ensure the product roadmap fulfills business, technical, legal, and consumer priorities for target platforms. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, team-oriented, nimble, displays strong product sense, and doesn’t wait to be told what to do.
Responsibilities
Work with stakeholders across the organization to define scope, create a vision and strategy, determine trade-offs, and build consensus to deliver engaging product features on connected TV devices.
Ideate, define, and validate new or adjusted product features focused on increasing user engagement (time in playback, title discovery, etc.) on connected TV devices using measurable metrics.
Drive end-to-end responsibility and ownership for your product feature/capability from concept to the finish line and in its daily usage.
Conduct industry research, consult with finance, and analyze data to ensure the viability of new features and product changes.
Lead a scrum team, champion their needs, and prioritize incoming requests for resourcing.
Contribute to prioritizing and driving alignment for a varied product roadmap across a diverse set of stakeholders including product partners, ads, engineering, design, commerce, legal, finance, and operations.
Work with device, platform, and distribution partners to ensure quality, compliance, and maintenance of your product domains.
Define OKRs and KPIs, track the health of your product domains, and understand changes in behavior/data.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in a relevant field required.
10+ years of product management or other relevant work experience required.
Proven track record of launching successful, engaging, user-centric features on connected TV devices like Roku, Amazon FireTV, Samsung, PlayStation, XBox, and others.
Demonstrated ability to define technical acceptance criteria, discuss technical concepts with engineering teams, and understand architectural and technical implications.
Experience leading a dedicated scrum/dev team as a solo Product Owner.
Ability to shift, adapt, and remain flexible with changing priorities and external factors while continuing to move projects forward.
Independently own and lead large initiatives with many internal and external dependencies and collaborators.
Obsessed with making data-oriented, analytical decisions to keep customers happy.
A strong attention to detail, and the ability to take a step back and understand the bigger picture.
Ability to be scrappy and resourceful, with no fear of getting your hands dirty and an impulse to always find a solution.
Systems thinker – proactive, structured, long-term thinker rather than reactive.

Preferred Qualifications
Product management experience / high-level technical understanding of the streaming video devices landscape with feature development on Roku OS, Fire OS, and Tizen.
Experience developing product features for video players (HTML5 and native) and multiple streaming protocols.
Familiarity with DRM rules, video performance, and video advertising best practices.
Experience in A/B experimentation, testing tools, and analytics.
Worked in organizations with agile software development practices and latest industry methodologies.
Focus on impact with a proclivity to frame work in terms of impact, effort, and cost.
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $184,300 to $247,100 year, in San Francisco is $201,900 to $270,700 per year, and New York, NY or Seattle, WA is between $193,100 to $258,900. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
