We are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Corporate Accounting team. This position is highly visible throughout the organization and will deal with a broad range of accounting topics. As a valuable resource to the organization, you must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. You must also have the ability to coordinate and manage projects, be proactive and deadline-focused, as well as highly organized.
Prepare bank reconciliations and related journal entries.
Perform month-end closing activities including preparation of journal entries and analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. including A/P tax accumulations (SURI).
Manage monthly prepaid amortization to include booking prepaid expenses and reconciliation.
Prepare and record monthly accruals, journal entries and closing entries.
Invoicing and preparation and reconciliation of Sales reports
Support both internal and external audits.
Miscellaneous projects as they arise.
Expense report administration
Review and approve expenses report daily. Including vendor payments analysis by contracts and discount opportunities.
Manage companys sales tax, excise tax, Sales and Use Tax (IVU) and record them in SURI.
Serve as the main point of contact for companys related questions or concerns.
Monitor and audit expense reports for accuracy and completeness and follow up on any discrepancies or issues.
Monitor and follow-up with employees on timely processing of expense reports
Continued focus on improving system efficiencies (Quick Books and Excel - Pivot/V lookups) and business practices.
