We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to join our team as the Vice President of Product Marketing Management. This individual will play a key role in driving the global product marketing strategy for Contentful’s portfolio, delivering customer-driven innovation and accelerating growth in an evolving market.

As the Vice President of Product Marketing Management, you will lead the global product marketing strategy and oversee a talented team responsible for positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, and go-to-market execution. You will be responsible for shaping the future of Contentful’s product offerings while collaborating cross-functionally with product management, sales, and customer success teams. Your leadership will directly impact product adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.

What to Expect

  1. Lead and scale the global product marketing function, driving go-to-market strategies across Contentful’s product portfolio.
  2. Develop and communicate clear, impactful product messaging and positioning that resonates with target audiences and differentiates Contentful in a competitive market.
  3. Collaborate with product management to drive product roadmaps that align with market needs and deliver measurable business impact.
  4. Conduct market and competitive analysis, using insights to inform product development and strategic positioning.
  5. Develop and execute successful product launches that maximize market impact and customer adoption.
  6. Oversee the creation of compelling sales enablement materials, including demos, case studies, and presentations, to support both direct sales and partner sales channels.
  7. Drive product marketing campaigns that align with content, demand generation, and customer success initiatives.
  8. Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product marketers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results.
  9. Act as a thought leader both internally and externally, representing Contentful at industry events, in media interactions, and with analysts.
  10. Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure product marketing efforts align with broader company goals and KPIs.
  11. Provide strategic guidance on pricing and packaging strategies, working closely with finance and product teams.

What You Need to be Successful

  1. 15+ years of experience in product marketing leadership roles, with a proven track record of building, scaling and managing high-performing teams while driving successful go-to-market strategies.
  2. Experience in SaaS or digital-first platforms, particularly in content management, API-driven products, or marketing ecosystems.
  3. Strong expertise in developing product messaging and positioning, a deep understanding of competitive differentiation, and applying messaging across multiple different personas.
  4. Demonstrated success in leading launches multiple times a year to scale new products. Experience in launching in new categories in the global market is a plus.
  5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, simple and engaging narratives for diverse audiences.
  6. Analytical and strategic mindset, with experience using data to inform decisions and track the success of product marketing initiatives.
  7. Proven ability to collaborate with product management, sales, marketing, enablement and customer teams to drive alignment and achieve business objectives.
  8. Experience in leading product marketing efforts across multiple product lines, including product launches, sales enablement, and market expansion strategies.
  9. Creativity mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo, dream big, take risks and influence execution of new ideas.
  10. Prior experience in senior product marketing roles at fast-growing companies is a plus.

This role will need to be conducted in a state in which we are currently registered to do business.

California Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of California if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

California Salary Range: $310,000 - $340,000

[This position is eligible for equity awards, annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards, where applicable, in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s variable compensation plans.]
