Job Description
The Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) is seeking a Part Time Adjunct Instructor in our Fashion Department to teach Fashion Draping Techniques, a junior fashion design course for the Spring 2025 semester.
Course Details: Based on original designs, projects include advanced draping skills using professional dress forms. Successful projects are completed into patterns and finished sewn garments. Projects will also include the use of fabrics with various characteristics, varying forms, and design styles.
Experience: Ability to teach a variety of garment draping techniques to fashion students. Experience in taking draped designs and turning them into finished patterns is needed. Patternmaking, construction, industry design experience and prior teaching experience preferred.
Position: Adjunct Instructor, part-time
Qualifications: A BFA/MFA in art or design and previous teaching experience preferred.
Date of Hire: Spring 2025
