This Opportunity:
The Lead Technical Proposal Writer,
Health is responsible for writing and winning multi-million dollar proposals
for USAID and other donors. The consultant writer works closely with technical
and proposal team members to develop compelling and persuasive proposals that
are responsive to client requirements.
Location:
The position is based in Palladium's Washington D.C. office or remote.

Reporting Lines:
This position reports to the Technical Monitor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant
selected for this assignment will:
- Serve as lead writer for proposals and concept notes to USAID and other donors
- Prepare technical proposal narrative with oral and written inputs from subject matter experts, ensuring content is coherent, compelling, and compliant with all requirements
- Seamlessly integrate all inputs to the technical narrative to achieve one voice
- Draft original content, as needed, ensuring all drafts are complete and within page limits in advance of reviews.
- Manage technical proposal draft writing and review cycles, and incorporate reviewer feedback into subsequent proposal drafts
- Lead or participate in win themes sessions and ensure win themes are adequately integrated throughout proposal
- Create and/or support development of compliant and annotated proposal outlines
- Actively catalyze and support development of pre-proposal stage products or narratives
- Maintain standard proposal style format template, compliant to solicitation requirements for bids as needed, and appropriately branded/proprietarily marked throughout
- Prepare materials to support oral presentations, as required
- Independently write other proposal sections, including management and capability sections and past performance reviews
Deliverables
Deliverables will be subject to review, revision, and final approval by the technical monitor.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong technical writing and editing skills
- Ability to conceptualize and write clear, concise, structured, and persuasive proposals and marketing materials
- Successful track record writing winning proposals for more than $10M for USAID and other USG donors
- Experience working in global health program areas, such as health systems strengthening, family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, primary health care, malaria, tuberculosis, and/or HIV and AIDS
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Teams collaborative site
- Ability to work effectively and inclusively in cross-cultural contexts
