About the Role:
We are seeking a Content Development Project Manager for a 4-6-month contract to work remotely for BenchPrep. We are in the midst of partnering with a global certification organization to produce practice questions for a diagnostic assessment learning product. As the Content Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the timely creation and delivery of all content. The target commercial launch for the assessment product is Q2 2025.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with multiple subject matter experts, editors, vendors, and internal and external stakeholders to manage all phases of the project lifecycle including schedule creation and maintenance, external resource identification/recruitment, resource allocation and planning, risk identification and mitigation, weekly cadence meetings and updates to project stakeholders, managing customer expectations, and delivering the project on time. It is likely there will be other projects and opportunities after the launch of this project for you to engage in.
The Content Development Project Manager is a critical role that ultimately helps set up our Customer Success team for a strong, long term business relationship. A successful project manager will deliver the project on time and budget with high customer satisfaction.
In this role, you will:
- Own and manage the Master Content and Product Schedules (build the schedule, edit and adjust it weekly, track all deliverables, contributors, dependencies, and risks; ensure team-wide visibility).
- Lead platform/CMS trainings for project contributors and assist with troubleshooting.
- Coordinate the flow of content from SMEs to Partner to Vendors, etc. You will touch every piece of content, talk (in some capacity) with every SME and vendor.
- Identify and recruit/evaluate external project resources (SMEs, copyeditor, vendors etc) as needed
- Track SME and vendor budget throughout product development
- Run recurring check-ins for core stakeholders with schedule updates, concerns, etc.
- Continually identify, present and implement opportunities for project scalability and process efficiencies via collaboration with other rep team members
- Empower, motivate, and support team members across multiple internal teams to do their best work in the creation and delivery of impactful, well designed content
- Document all project artifacts and ensure that they are completed, organized, and stored appropriately
Skills and experiences we value:
- 5+ years project management experience in content development projects managing SMEs/authors, editors, instructional designers, vendors, etc. from project start through completion
- Direct and heavy client-facing experience,working with high level project stakeholders
- Highly organized, process-driven and analytical in nature with outstanding project management skills.
- Excels in delivering multiple concurrent projects, with excellent communication, and with timely, quality, and efficient results to multiple project stakeholders
- LMS/CMS experience preferred
- Proficiency using G-suite, Confluence, Jira, and Smartsheets
- CAPM, PMP Certifications a plus
