The Marketing and Social Media Intern supports MML's marketing and social media initiatives three days a week, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic hospitality environment. This role provides exposure to content scheduling, analytics tracking, real-time event coverage, and campaign coordination. Ideal for a current or recent Marketing student, the position offers a comprehensive introduction to the fast-paced world of hospitality marketing.

Monitor community engagement, including responding to comments and direct messages under the guidance of the Social Media Lead. Support the creation and organization of digital assets, including captions, hashtags, and visual content. Analytics and Reporting
Track performance metrics for social media platforms and compile data into clear, concise reports for team review. Identify trends and insights from analytics to support the development of future campaigns. Assist in maintaining records of audience engagement, reach, and campaign results. Event and Campaign Support
Attend and provide support for events, capturing live content (e.g., photos, videos, stories) for social media platforms. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure events are adequately promoted and represented on digital channels. Assist with real-time posting and engagement during events to boost visibility and interaction. Requirements:
Education:
Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Experience:
Previous internship or coursework related to social media marketing is a plus. Skills:
Basic knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn). Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Later, Hootsuite, or similar) is a plus. Strong written communication skills, including attention to detail and creativity in crafting captions and messages. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment. Interest in hospitality, food, and events is preferred. Weekend availability is required as we support a 24/7/365 business. This role is based in Austin, TX, and requires in-person participation at events and some remote work for content scheduling and reporting. The Marketing and Social Media Intern will work closely with the Social Media Lead and marketing team, gaining practical experience in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
