SOCIAL MEDIA & PRESENTATION SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY:
The Social Media & Presentation Specialist has a pivotal role within Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), and is a key contributor. They are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the social media accounts for the President & CEO. They are also responsible creating effective, persuasive, high-level presentations utilizing PowerPoint and other more advanced presentation software. The Presentation Specialist enhances the effectiveness of presentations by transforming content into visually engaging and informative slides. They combine design expertise with an understanding of effective communications to ensure that presentations are memorable and impactful to the specific audience. They strive to understand the brand and deliver strategic messaging that aligns with the goals of the CEO. They will provide meaningful feedback on the messages that the President is delivering and suggestions as to how to best deliver those important take away’s.
The Social Media & Presentation Specialist would also play a key role in the planning and execution of key corporate engagements, the President’s sustainability initiative, and the Business Planning Team’s finance rotational program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate would excel in the following core areas:
Social Media:
- Maintain/manage all social media platforms.
- Create and curate engaging, high-quality content (text, images, videos), tailored to each platform.
- Schedule posts and monitor social media accounts for engagement, comments and direct messages, responding promptly to user interactions.
- Develop social media campaigns.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal, privacy, and industry standards in social media activities.
Presentation Creation & Execution:
- Presentation Examples: Internal monthly performance review meetings, customer visits, keynotes, VIP/dignitary visits, academic/student presentations, industry events, dealer meetings, summer intern presentations, off-site strategic planning sessions, international meetings, charitable organizations, accelerated learning programs, strategic partners, etc.
- Content Layout: Organize and structure presentation content, including text, images, graphs, charts, and multimedia elements, to ensure clarity and coherence.
- Visual Design: Create visually appealing slide designs, backgrounds, and templates that align with the presentation’s message and branding.
- Typography: Select appropriate fonts, sizes and format for text to enhance readability and consistency.
- Graphics and Illustrations: Design relevant graphics, icons, and illustrations to complement the presentation’s content and engage the audience.
- Data Visualization: Create clear and effective data visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to illustrate key points or trends.
- Slide Transitions and Animation: Apply slide transition and animation effects to enhance the flow of the presentation and engage the audience.
- Visual Consistency: Ensure consistent design elements, color schemes, and formatting throughout the presentation.
- Proofreading: Review content for errors in grammar, punctuation, and layout, and make necessary corrections.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders, presenters, and stakeholders to understand the presentation’s objectives and incorporate feedback.
- Software Expertise: Utilize presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint) and other design tools effectively.
- Meeting Deadlines: Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines, especially for presentations scheduled for important business meetings and conferences.
Project Coordination:
- Support the execution of key corporate events with various projects.
- Coordinate and conduct social media and presentation plans.
- Maintain presentation files, photo library, and other content utilized for communications.
- Ability to multitask and work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrates high level of energy to move the business forward and to see projects through to completion.
- Displays a strong commitment to confidentiality of documents and integrity of the organization.
Communication / Collaboration:
- Needs to have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Works effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Has the maturity and poise to interact effectively with executives at the highest levels of the organization.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively with various entities within TOYOTA Industries Corporation (TICO).
- Develop and nurture strong working relationship with executives and their teams within TMHNA.
- Strong design and conceptual abilities.
- Innovative and continuous improvement mindset.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree preferred. Desired fields include but are not limited to Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in related field is desired.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
