Robert Half is hiring: RFP Specialist / Proposal Writer in Boston

Robert Half's marketing & creative team seeks a RPF Specialist/Proposal Writer for a 4 month contract in Boston. This is a hybrid, 40-hour-per-week opportunity; candidates must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in Boston. The RFP Specialist will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing proposals in tandem with Subject Matter Experts, sales and marketing teams, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage proposal development process from initiation to submission
• Write, revise, and edit drafts for RPFs
• Understand thoroughly the scope of each request for proposal (RFP) and bid
• Collaborate with various teams (e.g., sales, product, legal, finance etc.)
• Develop a proposal schedule and manage adherence to it, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Conduct extensive research to deeply understand industry, business goals, and competitors
• Read and analyze RFPs to ensure that the proposal responds to and complies with all requirements
• Maintain continuously updated library of company solution descriptions, templates, diagrams, and past proposals
• Participate in meetings to review/understand the scope of work and the requirements of RFPs
• Assist with other business writing tasks as needed

• Degree in communication, marketing, or related
• 1+ year of experience with proposal or business writing
• Prior experience in asset management is preferred
• Knowledge of RFP/DDQ process
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter
• Ability to manage a variety of projects under tight deadlines
• Strong research skills
• Knowledge of business development process is a plus
