Technical Interior Designer/Architect Job at Studio 121, Inc. in Nashville

Studio 121 is looking for a REVIT focused interior architect/designer who will add value to both our team and our firm. You will be designing and presenting concepts, space plans and interior detailing to meet the client’s goals and assisting fellow team members with completing construction documents, reviewing construction submittals, and project site visits.

Minimum Requirements

o Minimum of 4-year degree from accredited interior design/architecture program

o 5+ years’ experience with proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD 2015 (or newer) is a plus

o NCIDQ certification or path to certification underway

o US citizen

Position qualifications & responsibilities

o Strong communication skills for internal and external communications

o Visioning and presenting design concepts and space plans to meet the client’s goals

o Must be able to start Revit & AutoCAD projects from the beginning using company standard templates

o Highly motivated and independent decision-making skills for Revit modeling (space planning, design, development and coordination) of large-scale interior architecture construction documents in a fast-paced environment

o Coordinating Revit models and final construction documents with external consultants (architecture, MEP, A/V, structural, lighting consultants, F&B consultants)

o Versed in interior detailing (cabinetry, millwork, custom/thematic elements), reflected ceiling plans and running trim

o Responsible for updating managed “links” from multiple architectural firms and have the ability to manage/issue current internal links back to architect for proper project coordination.

o General understanding and proficiency with building codes and American Disability Act (ADA) requirements, electrical and data requirements

o Assist with review of RFI's and submittals during the construction administration phase

o Travel to project site visits, as needed

o BIM cloud experience is a benefit
