As the Accountant, you'll be an important part of the finance team, supporting efforts to ensure financial stability and growth. Here's a quick look at what this role offers:

This is the second Accountant role in the department, creating room for professional development and advancement.
Hands-On Training:
Receive valuable training from the Senior Accountant to help you succeed in your role.
Direct Reporting:
You'll work closely with the CFO, gaining insight into high-level decision-making.
Hybrid Work Environment:
Enjoy the flexibility of working from home on Fridays while contributing in person at the Newington office.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements.
Generate timely financial reports to support organizational decisions.
Assist in budget development and management.
Prepare tax submissions and stay informed on tax law changes.
Collaborate with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
The Accountant will perform financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accountant:
Previous accounting experience preferred; bookkeeping experience with a desire to advance is welcome.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
