Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
Review and interpret financial data to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger by maintaining multi-dimensional reporting structures, including departments, projects, and cost centers.
Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring all financial statements are prepared accurately and on time, supported by detailed schedules and reconciliations.
Support external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation, reconciling discrepancies, and addressing auditor inquiries.
Conduct reconciliations of tax-related accounts and prepare documentation for both financial and tax audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with department leaders to develop and refine budgets, forecast future financial performance, and monitor variances to stay aligned with financial goals.
Lead or assist with special accounting projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
2+ years of accounting experience
Familiar with accounting software
Intermediate level of analytical ability to solve complex problems
Solid understanding of GAAP and finance concepts is a plus
