Job Description:
The Power BI Architect will be responsible for spearheading the design and implementation of the business intelligence infrastructure, focusing on Power BI platforms. This position will be the primary source for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions across a diverse range of departments.
Develop and maintain sophisticated data models using Power BI Desktop.
Create and maintain data lakes/warehouses.
Ensure data quality and consistency in a data lake/warehouse environment.
Utilize multiple sources of data including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel and Syteline.
Work with data across the corporate landscape (Including Finance, Accounting, Sales, Supply Chain, and Pricing) to provide data sets for the analyst team to design dashboards and reports across each business unit.
Optimize Power BI reports for performance and consolidate the quantity of data sets.
Design a long-term plan for data structures and automation initiatives.
Audit existing Power BI efforts with a focus on continuous improvement.
Provide mentorship to analysts to use the data model to create reports and utilize basic DAX functions.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide data solutions to complex business problems.
Communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Experience of the Power BI Architect:
5 years of experience creating and transforming data models, designing and implementing data lakes, and data warehouses.
Extensive experience in business intelligence development with an emphasis on early-stage data integration and ETL processes.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, related field or 10 years of equivalent years of experience.
Proficiency in SQL, DAX, or similar programming languages.
Advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, and Power BI.
Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse customer-base; good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
Preferred/Bonus Experience of the Power BI Architect:
10 years of experience creating and transforming data models, extensive experience in business intelligence development with an emphasis on early-stage data integration and ETL processes
