Job Summary Reporting to the Associate Dean of Workforce, the program director is responsible for leading faculty, sustaining a student-centered academic culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, excellence, and integrity in teaching, and sustaining a collegial, respectful, and high-performing work environment for all employees. This position works with the Associate Dean to recommend faculty appointments, professional development, academic student support (i.e., library, learning centers), and evaluation in adherence to college policy and procedures. The Program Director provides leadership to personnel and management of procedures and processes in assigned areas. The program Director will coordinate activities and work to resolve faculty and student issues and will collaborate with personnel from across the college and community in support of the college mission. The Program Director of Digital Media provides administrative oversight to the College Credit Certificate in Emerging Media and related program(s). Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating and Celebrating. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develops and revises program curriculum, as needed, to the greatest extent possible within their area of expertise. Engages in student recruitment and retention efforts. Coordinates practicum/internship on- and off-site student experiences. Ensures fiscal responsibility in the development and management of the schedule of classes and resource management in assigned budgets; monitor spending and approve expenditures according to established policies and procedures. Collaborates with College partners in support of initiatives, such as articulation agreements. Collaborate and plan with others across the College to support student enrollment and retention. Tracks and analyzes student performance, enrollments, and learning outcomes to make informed decisions regarding the status of academic programs and resource management (e.g., personnel and classroom resources) Recruits, supervises, and evaluates at most twenty-five adjunct faculty and staff serving approximately 250 students in the program of oversight. Work collaboratively with faculty to ensure academic quality while focusing on student retention and completion. Collaborate on faculty and staff development initiatives. Teach at most 9 credits per semester as part of assigned duties. Managing all aspects of live theatre productions, including but not limited to production budgets, acquiring rights, casting calls, rehearsals, building of sets, lighting, costuming, makeup, etc. Collaborate with other administrators in development of a class, rehearsal, and performance schedule that meets student needs. Assist in the marketing of each production and the program course offerings. Serve in an advisory capacity for the Performing Arts student organization. Collaborate with other college departments in regards to the development of performing arts programs. Serve on College committees as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications & Education Master's degree in digital media or related field; or Master’s with at least 18 graduate hours in digital media or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in digital media productions in an educational setting. Experience with the Florida College System and SACSCOC or other regional accreditation agency policies and procedures preferred. Bi-lingual a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
