AR Manager A CFS client is seeking an experienced AR Manager to join their team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller, providing management direction and professional development to the Accounts Receivable and Credit team. You will oversee all aspects of credit, accounts receivable, and cash collection, while also managing credit applications, credit holds, and customer relationships. AR Manager Responsibilities: Oversee all management functions related to hiring, developing, and retaining AR staff. Document, enhance, re-engineer, and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency. Always ensure adequate coverage of the accounts receivable department. Supervise all accounts receivable, credit, and cash posting functions. Develop and maintain high-quality credit and collection procedures in compliance with legal requirements. Manage and maintain the corporate credit policy, recommending changes as needed for review. Ensure timely collection of monies owed to the company. Monitor and report deviations from established credit standards. Manage cash applications, ensuring accurate application of all cash receipts. Analyze customer accounts to determine potential credit limit adjustments. Update and maintain AR insurance coverage and related reporting. Investigate and resolve customer queries and manage credit holds on accounts or shipments. AR Manager Experience: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience, preferably with a focus in Accounting. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable and credit/collections, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role with a proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff.
