Senior Accounting Specialist $60,000 - $65,000 ABOUT THE COMPANY Our client is a leading non-profit organization with offices across Florida and they are looking to hire a Senior Accounting Specialist here in the Orlando area. This is a newly created role due to growth in the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES of the Senior Accounting Specialist: Review accounts for discrepancies and process reports to perform end Of month reconciliations Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts Prepares general ledger entries maintains and reconciles records and files Analyzes information and provides ad-hoc reporting in as needed basis Follows accounting policy and procedure and provides continual analysis and recommendations for stream-lining new processes. Responsible for maintaining and reconciling various GL accounts and providing those accounts to external auditors Cross train and serve as back-up to a highly efficient functional team Strong critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses Of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems EXPERIENCE PREFERRED for the Senior Accounting Specialist: We are looking for someone with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you are able to work effectively with minimal oversight, while also functioning well in a team environment.
