The Accounting Manager is responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting of assigned properties for themselves and that of their Property Accountants.
Essential functions:
Manages and supports a group of property accountants
Assists in hiring, training and developing team members
Oversee the preparations of properties' financial statements
Manage cash management for assigned portfolio
Assist in quarterly lender reporting
Assist in reviewing of properties' budget preparation
Oversee the preparation of CTI reconciliations
Quarterly reserve requests to Lender
Assist in preliminary/annual property-level audit and tax prep
Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
Participate in strategic financial projects including upgrades/phase-two implementation of ERP software
Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
Interacts at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual reporting
Assist executives with special projects as needed
