Fire Sprinkler Designer
Vanguard Fire & Security Systems, Inc. is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Designer to prepare layouts for sprinkler systems, detail drawings, calculations, and sketches. Detail all views for field teams to complete projects efficiently.

Vanguard Fire & Security Systems, Inc. is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Designer to prepare layouts for sprinkler systems, detail drawings, calculations, and sketches. Detail all views for field teams to complete projects efficiently.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design fire protection sprinkler systems, fire pumps, tanks , wet, dry and deluge systems
- Use AutoCad to develop shop drawings, equipment lists with a focus on applicable NFPA and local code compliance, project specifications and contract documents
- Complete accurate field surveys and communication with contractors and subcontractors to gather documentation
- Coordinate shop drawings with the engineering team and field technicians
- Develop submittal packages for contractors and authorities having jurisdiction
- Obtain all required approvals
- NICET certifications are preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and project specifications
- Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or HydraCAD is preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, equipment configuration, and project management
- Familiarity with general construction practices and terms
- Working knowledge of NFPA codes
