FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Housby is seeking a self-driven and energetic individual to join our Body & Paint Shop team as a Media Blaster. This position is responsible for media blasting an array of trucks, trailers, and other equipment in order to prepare them for further body and paint repair.

FOCUS:
- Essential duties include the following. Other duties as assigned
- Operate media blasting equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Understand overall metal thickness and the required pressure for different trucks/equipment.
- Drive trucks and other equipment into and out of the media booth.
- Crosstrain to perform other duties in the Body & Paint Shop, as needed.
- Expected to follow the company's safety rules and safety policies.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of media blasting equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Maintain a professional image at all times.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Must have an eye for detail and quality results.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Prior media blasting and/or sandblasting experience is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Safety glasses and safety shoes required at all times.
- Respirator required when using media blaster.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic and outside weather conditions.
- Works indoors and outdoors.
- Noise level is usually moderate to very loud.
- Some weekends and evening hours may be required.
