About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Media Planning and Strategy to lead the development of a high-performing team and provide expert guidance on client and media planning strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire planning process for dedicated client groups, ensuring the team meets quality standards, and enforcing the overall media planning direction. This critical role involves interpreting research, providing thought leadership, and coaching the team to maximize media efficiency. The VP will also be involved in strategic positioning, segmentation initiatives, and expanding the team's media knowledge, particularly in data and technology. Applicants for the VP, Media Planning and Strategy position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' media planning experience across all media channels, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. The role requires an influential leader with advanced knowledge of media planning and research tools, as well as experience in bid management, campaign management, and optimization processes. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in developing media planning strategies that exceed client goals, and have a proven track record in new business efforts. Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
