Dekker is looking for a positive, energetic person who enjoys proposal preparation and working with others to create compelling marketing materials. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years professional experience. Must possess excellent graphic, writing, editing and communication skills, be self-sufficient, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure. Duties include development, management, and design of proposals, brochures, presentations, and other graphic work. This position requires working as part of a 8-person marketing team, and collaborating with a diverse staff.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages + organizes proposal deadlines and production. 
  • Provides graphics support for presentations for shortlist/interviews. 
  • Verifies proposal requirements and assures proposals are thorough and complete. 
  • Produces graphic design (proposals, brochures, flyers, website, and other miscellaneous graphic design tasks) to help tell the firm’s story. 
  • Updates + maintains marketing related imagery, project descriptions, prior proposals, brochures, presentations, references, professional design staff resumes, client contacts, mailing lists, proposal boilerplate material, and database information. 
  • Advocates for and maintains Dekker brand guidelines in all graphic design projects. 
  • Supports communications team in creating content for digital distribution.  
  • Identifies and communicates project progress, accomplishments, challenges, and support needed to complete responsibilities. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field preferred  
  • 3-5 years of professional experience  
  • Previous knowledge and experience with RFP/proposal responses and A/E/C industry preferred 
  • Strong communication skills with ability to convey ideas in a creative and compelling manner. 
  • Practical knowledge of marketing and branding 
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, primarily InDesign) and MS Office Suite  
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with executive level leadership, project teams, marketing, and communications projects. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous projects.
  • Video editing experience a plus
