Plant Accountant , you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and financial activities, including:
Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
Cost Accounting:
Manage and analyze product costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control and valuation, ensuring accurate records and minimizing losses.
Variance Analysis:
Investigate and explain variances between actual and budgeted performance, providing actionable insights to management.
Month-End Close:
Assist in the timely and accurate completion of month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
As a Plant Accountant, you will:
Work closely with plant management to provide financial support and decision-making insights.
Collaborate with corporate accounting teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Utilize ERP systems to manage financial data and generate reports.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
