Summary
We are seeking a marketing leader to be part of a cross functional program.
The Marketing Manager will be accountable for planning, supporting, and executing on all marketing activities related to the project, which focuses on IV set products, such as gravity IV sets and extension IV sets.
These include review and update of user requirements in existing documentation; product claim review, articulation, substantiation, and approval; marketing material and document updates including label, DFU and technical datasheets.
The marketing manager will be instrumental in providing adequate insights from and for Global Marketing teams, while working closely with all required functions for project execution (Medical Affairs, R&D, Quality and Regulatory amongst the most critical).
Responsibilities:
Create marketing functional plan for project
Update/review user requirements from available documentation (TPPs, market research)
Review key global competitor product claims, building a claim repository; articulate a claim roadmap differentiating from necessary/must have, target and ideal, highlighting differentiation opportunities (where possible)
Partner with global marketers, medical and clinical teams to formulate desired product claims
Support risk management deliverables for each product family claim
Partner with R&D to understand data gaps and design studies required to substantiate selected claims
Approve claims through company channels/resources
Update files, labels & technical datasheets as required
Communicate and cascade approved claims for global and regional use; implement a WW claim playbook along with any other resulting marketing material
Collaborate and approve cross-functional project documents in SAP
Experience and Education:
BS/BA in marketing, business, engineering, or another technical discipline
5+ year experience in marketing for medical device space
Relevant marketing experience on product claim creation, substantiation, and approval in the medical device space is strongly preferred
Knowledge of IV sets space (user needs, products) is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Creative out-of-the-box mindset and intellectually curious
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in insight gathering and analysis from multiple internal and external data sources
Strong leadership presence with the ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others
Excellent organization skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities
Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences
Managerial courage to speak up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressed
Thrives in an ambiguous environment
Ability to multitask on multiple simultaneous projects within the overall program
