About the Company and Overview of the Role: Our new client is a staple in the local hospitality industry, very well known in the Baltimore area. Due to growth in the business, they are looking to hire an Accounting Manager on a contract to hire basis who is able to hit the ground running! Hours: 9am-5pm M-F 100% on site in Baltimore, MD Company offers free parking to all of its employees! Senior Accountants encouraged to apply; great growth opportunity! Job Duties: Manage day-to-day accounting department functions Serve as backup for general accountants, AP, AR, etc. when needed Manage month and year end close process Reconcile accounts to general ledger Review financial statements and accruals Oversee fixed assets and depreciation entries and retirements Ensure all taxes are paid in a timely manner Go to for external auditors during annual audit Assist with budget preparation and creation Qualifications for the Role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. CPA or MBA a plus, but not required 5+ years' accounting experience Experience using Oracle preferred, but not required Expertise with QuickBooks required Proficient Excel skills Supervisory experience highly preferred
