Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for leading the marketing and communications for Drive Products division in the US market, ensuring alignment with the division and Motion business area strategy as well as ABB brand positioning. You will have the ownership of marketing and communications related initiatives based on market understanding and customer centricity to gain awareness, demand and loyalty for our offerings and value propositions which enable business short- and long-term growth The work model for the role is: #LI - Hybrid This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in the US Market. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers. You will be mainly accountable for: •Creating, planning, and ensuring implementation of the marketing (and communications) strategies for the go-to-market segments in collaboration with local stakeholders, including global channel partner leadership and global marketing leadership. •Understand the drives market in the U.S. including competitors, customers, influencers and related market trends, and turning these insights into compelling marketing and communication strategy. Drive outside-in thinking in ensuring customer-focused mindset. •Take responsibility for the local marketing planning and execution in alignment with local sales, ABB global marketing and brand guidelines •Drive data driven digital marketing and efficient use of marketing technologies towards the target customers and business objectives and providing necessary data and intelligence as a key stake-holder on potential M&A target companies to accelerate inorganic growth aligned with the division strategy •Lead and ensure executional excellence in the local divisional internal and external communications including employee engagement, media relations, marketing communications and crisis communications •Understand business needs and provide consulting support and advice in applying communication expertise to achieve long-term objectives while collaborating across functions, divisions and business area both locally and globally •Develop external partnerships with subject matter experts in marketing and communication •Leading a team of direct reports ensuring they have the right resources, tools, and collaborative spirit to drive growth and pipeline
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business administration or/and related discipline strongly preferred, but will consider extensive experience as well. Minimum 10 years of marketing or/and communications experience in a B2B environment (preferably technical/industrial environment). Proven experience in leading and measuring successful, innovative and fast-paced brand management, digital marketing, and communications. Knowledge of marketing and communications-related technologies, tools, analytics, tactics, creative direction, and production. Experienced Team Leader, Salesforce, Monday.com, MS Office Excellent knowledge of the English language with strong writing, editing and proofreading capabilities. German is extremely helpful, but not a requirement. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. More about us
