Job description McNally Enterprises Incorporated is a full service production company located in the heart of Southern California. We provide production services for over 300 events each year on a local, national, and international level. As a full service production company we integrate and utilize our skills in 5 production disciplines; scenic, staging, audio, video, and lighting, to provide a seamless and well executed production experience in all that we do. Our production capabilities are well known throughout the industry, providing for events such as the Grammy Awards, WIF awards, E3 convention, Comic Con, the Espy Awards and hundreds of other events; large and small. We're looking for a passionate, motivated, and resourceful Audio Technician/Board Operator to join our team! Our team of audio specialists have experience operating large concerts, political campaigns, charity dinners, conferences and much more. We send the same top-flight technicians to each event, whether productions are big or small. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Operating modern 32+channel digital audio consoles from Digico, Yamaha, Allen-Heath, Midas, Avid, or other touring-grade manufacturers. Operating with line array systems and possessing a general knowledge of speaker placement fundamentals. Prepping pull sheets and QC gear in the shop. Understanding basic RF theory and wireless microphone operation. Positioning (5) or more Lavalier microphones on stage successfully. "EQ" a room successfully to avoid feedback and optimize acoustic performance. Willing to lend a hand in all other aspects of production when audio setup is complete. Ability to work long hours and maintain a flexible schedule. Lifting various audio and event-related equipment. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Performing various other duties assigned by MEI management staff. We are a highly collaborative company! If you're interested in learning additional technical skills then this is the place for you. You will also get the opportunity to learn all aspects of lighting, video, scenic carpentry. Qualifications Advanced knowledge of modern 32+ channel digital audio consoles. Proficient in routing and signal flow as well as strong knowledge in EQ, Compression, and other audio signal processing concepts Experience in rigging and deploying line array speakers and a general knowledge of speaker placement fundamentals. Proficiency in audio networking and routing including Dante. Advanced knowledge of RF coordination and deployment of wireless systems Strong communication and email skills. Knowledge in the operation of various audio software needed in event execution such as: SMAART, QLAB, Dante Controller, Wireless Workbench. Experience deploying and troubleshooting wired and wireless communication systems. Proficiency in mixing multiple channels for events, including wireless handheld, lavalier, and countryman microphones, bands, video, and music playback. Live event production company experience. Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills are required to handle client needs. Excellent organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Efficient multi-tasker who is detail-oriented. Able to work independently or as part of a team effort. Maintain an efficient and professional workflow that can consistently meet concrete deadlines. Able to meet physical demands in the work environment. Be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
