Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
Manage general ledger activities, bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany reconciliations.
Provide key support for month-end close, budgeting, and tax compliance in accordance with GAAP standards.
Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of general ledger accounts such as AP, AR, accruals, prepaids, inventory, intercompany accounts, and fixed assets.
Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.
Maintain internal control measures and safeguards for receipts, payments, fixed assets, and transaction recording.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with GAAP guidelines.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring all audit requirements are met in a timely manner.
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on accounting experience in a dynamic, high-volume environment, preferably with a background in manufacturing.
Strong proficiency in technical accounting, including debits and credits, inventory flow, prepaids versus accruals, and a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
Ability to seamlessly adapt to new accounting ERP systems.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
