Overview The Media Director serves as a senior media expert, providing departmental and capability leadership, while increasing visibility of the media practice and leading a key client account. This person manages a team of media planning professionals and is responsible for ensuring media strategies and deliverables meet or exceed the strategic requirements of the client, add value, and meet Razorfish’s quality standards. They also manage, motivate, and mentor media staff in the development and execution of media initiatives and drive new business efforts. Responsibilities Core Craft Skills Develops forward-thinking, innovative, cross-channel local media strategies to improve the effectiveness of client marketing programs and grow business. Advises clients and internal teams on media opportunities. Client Exposure Serves as the client lead on a large media account, overseeing $50+ million in total spend. Manages multiple lines of business within client account. Conceives, negotiates, and presents cross platform, large-scale media proposals to client. Business Development Responsible for cross selling and upselling services. Key participant in business development for media pitches. Team Leadership 4+ direct reports; manages the planning team for client account. Leads and supervises team including hiring, training, staffing, coaching, and evaluating performance. Agency Leadership Attends and represents client at industry events. Helps with POV writing, responsible for client-specific POVs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four-year, accredited college or university. 8-10+ years of experience in the development and implementation of media planning and buying within the advertising industry; agency background preferred. 4+ years of prior staff management, development, and mentoring experience. Experience in local market performance planning required; B2B, multi-cultural experience a plus. Proficiency in applicable media tools and platforms. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
