Camp Horseshoe, one of Wisconsin's premier residential camps, is a spirited, sports-oriented boys camp that emphasizes participation, healthy competition, and a well-rounded summer experience. Camp Horseshoe is known for its state-of-the-art facilities, meaningful traditions, and unique philosophy. Whether it be coaching athletics, or leading one of our wilderness trips, the opportunities to have an impact on a boy's life are tremendous. Our campers and staff call the Horseshoe experience “amazing”, “indescribable” and “the best place on earth.” Our staff of 100 provide a safe, fun, and rewarding experience for our camper’s ages 8-16. Working at Horseshoe offers the opportunity to make lifelong friends from across the nation and throughout the world. Summer Camp Videographers capture footage of activities and special events at camp and utilize it to create visually energetic and cohesive videos to be shared with parents, campers, and staff. These videos commemorate the wonderful moments shared during the camp season. This is a fantastic opportunity for videographers to expand their portfolio and improve their resume, all while working outdoors and making friends for life. Responsibilities include: Take high quality videos of campers, staff and camp activities Edit and organize videos for easy access and use by the camp Work with the camp administration and media team to create promotional materials featuring camp photos and videos. Editing weekly video recaps and special event recaps as requested by supervisor Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. Editing of Summer 2024 Recap at conclusion of the summer season Requirements: Skills and experience operating digital cameras Experience with an editing software of your choice Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time, capturing a variety of activities throughout the day Familiarity and comfort filming sports and other fast-paced activities. A Camp Videographer is responsible for taking videos of our campers participating in fun and exciting camp activities and uploading the final edited clips to our online portal and social media pages for parents to view. Final videos will be used for marketing and promotional purposes throughout the year. Camp Horseshoe Videographers can expect to learn valuable lessons in project and media management, time management, and working with Apple Final Cut Pro. In addition, at the conclusion of their employment Videographers will have a variety of projects they can include in their portfolio or demo reel. Primary Responsibilities: Short Weekly Videos (3-5 mins.) 20-minute end of summer highlight video Other short videos for unique events (color wars, trip days, etc.) Website and marketing videos - for use both during the summer and after. Preferred Experience and Skills: Proficient in either Adobe Premiere or Final Cut YouTube & Social Media Experience Enthusiastic and passionate about working with kids.
