About the team

We work together to ensure our clients understand this new world of advertising, that they are making the best possible decisions to support their own goals, and drive advertiser interest and engagement across the board. The Advertising Sales team is responsible for driving ad revenue with Advertisers and ultimately enabling our clients to reach their business objectives
About the role
The world is cutting the cord and streaming its TV online, a shift that has dramatically changed how advertisers target, reach and measure their preferred audiences in ways that broadcast TV and cable never could. In this new world, Roku has re-written the rules of modern advertising. We partner with brands in the media and entertainment vertical and show them how to best leverage this new advertising platform.
The person in this role will work closely with TV and streaming brands directly and their agencies to help build performance solutions that reach this new TV viewer across the entire funnel and drive maximum revenue with Roku's 1st party targeting, unique ad products, performance analytics and unified reporting. The ideal candidate has worked in digital media and is familiar with the required dedication for multi-tasking duties in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate thrives on navigating ambiguity and solving new problems. The candidate will join this growing team and report to a Sales Manager in the Media & Entertainment vertical of our advertising business.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $157,000 - $265,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
This role is eligible for incentive compensation/commissions, health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
What you'll be doing Define the important business drivers for the customer and develop a strategy that uses Roku's performance advertising solutions to help grow the customer's business. Key individual contributor to revenue, work against aggressive advertising revenue goals - need to hit the ground running and be a fast learner Proactively build and grow a pipeline of sales targets, contacts, and sales opportunities via prospecting and leveraging your brand connections and their agencies Own the voice of the customer in any internal discussions regarding product innovation, measurement requirements, and customer service Respond to RFPs and craft strategic annual Upfront partnerships by working closely with Roku's account management, marketing, product and research teams Meet with and build relationships with senior level decision makers Gather marketplace insights to help build new ad products and measurement solutions Report on revenue projections/forecasts Host weekly or biweekly sales calls with stakeholders at the agency We're excited if you have
The equivalent of 8+ years of sales experience with buying models based on a CPV, CPCV, CPA, or CPC, either in a managed service or self-service environment focused on media and entertainment A demonstrated track record in closing small, medium and large deals with key entertainment partners and their respective agencies Demonstrated an ability to create relationships with internal collaborators across teams Worked across internal and external parties to sell and execute campaigns An understanding of the dynamics of the OTT/SVOD/AVOD space and how Roku advertising solutions drive business goals for advertisers An understanding of the digital advertising landscape and industry trends and apply a Roku POV for the organization Fluency in the language of success behind performance marketing campaigns, including customer acquisition goals, retention, ROAS or cost-per-acquisition media buying Bachelors degree LI-OR1
