We are looking for a Vice President of Marketing to join our team! The Vice President of Marketing will work out of our corporate office located in Metairie.

Role

This key leadership role focuses on driving member retention, acquisition, and growth by leveraging data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate will excel in optimizing product placement and expanding our portfolio of deposits and loans to meet the evolving needs of our members. The VP of Marketing will develop comprehensive marketing plans to boost engagement, strengthen brand loyalty, and achieve measurable results. With a hands-on approach, this role will guide cross-functional teams, optimize campaigns, and enhance member experiences. By aligning marketing initiatives with our credit union's strategic goals, the VP of Marketing will be crucial in advancing our mission to deliver exceptional financial products and services.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on branding, messaging, positioning, and multi-channel engagement to drive member acquisition, retention, and growth. Oversee marketing data intelligence, creative direction, and brand management to align with the credit union's strategic goals.

Team Management & Development

Lead, manage, and mentor the marketing team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure the team delivers impactful, data-driven campaigns and maintains brand consistency across all branches and channels.

Marketing Intelligence & Insights

Leverage marketing intelligence and collaborate with business intelligence teams to identify growth opportunities. Use data analytics to define member personas, optimize marketing tactics, and enhance segmented campaigns.

Budget Oversight & ROI Analysis

Develop and manage the marketing budget to ensure optimal ROI for all campaigns and public relations efforts. Provide strategic input on business development and community engagement budgets to maximize impact. Analyze large vendor relationships and campaign performance, reporting on ROI to inform future strategies.

Collaborative Execution

Partner with the in-house marketing agency to identify target audiences, optimize communication channels, and enhance campaign performance metrics. Work closely with business development teams to define target markets and improve Select Employee Group (SEG) penetration, ensuring alignment with growth objectives. Collaborate with internal teams to execute internal communication and branding efforts, fostering staff engagement and cohesion.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

Serve as the voice and brand ambassador of the credit union. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, media, partners, influencers, and industry associations to ensure brand consistency in networking, presentations, and community events.

Compliance & Best Practices

Stay current on marketing best practices, tools, and technologies to drive innovation. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing marketing practices and communications.

Continuous Improvement

Identify new opportunities for process improvements in traditional and digital marketing strategies, enhancing member engagement and driving sustained growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field. Master's degree preferred. At least 15 years of experience in marketing, with at least 8 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns. Exceptional knowledge of and skills in various aspects of marketing, such as branding, creative management, content, SEO, SEM, social media, email, web, analytics, etc. Proficient in leading and mentoring team members to cultivate a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence, alongside exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence and persuade diverse audiences. Above average understanding of activation, monitoring and measurement of marketing channels including paid media, email (marketing automation), website, social media, etc. Strategic, creative, and analytical thinker, with a data-driven and member-centric mindset. Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented, with a passion for marketing and growth. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while meeting or exceeding performance goals. Knowledge of the latest marketing trends, tools, and best practices. Understanding of organizational goals to develop and lead creative marketing strategies.
