Technical Writer Intern

Location: Remote, Michigan, USA
Employment Type: Internship (Full-Time)

Summary

OneStream is looking for candidates who are interested in pursuing 2025 internship opportunities. Our North America Program runs from Monday, June 9th 2025- Friday, August 15th 2025. The ideal candidate is someone looking to jumpstart their career with hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this position you may work with Product Owners, Developers and Quality Assurance teams to write new content or update existing content. Your activities may include:

  • Writing and publishing deliverables such as release notes, installation instructions, user guides and any other content required for a product release.
  • Ensuring deliverables adhere to standards, are reviewed for accuracy and free from spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Supporting team initiatives such as applying standards or editing to enhance existing content.
  • Scripting or producing videos that highlight new products or functionality.

Required Education and Experience

  • In pursuit of a bachelor's degree or graduate-level degree in a relevant business area.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Junior, senior, and graduate-level students.



Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous internship experience is nice to have, but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team setting.
  • Strong planning and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Teams and Office Suite - PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Excel.

Experience with the following is ideal but not required:

  • Writing for different audiences.
  • Video scripting, production (with Camtasia) and hosting.
  • Audio recording and editing.
  • Graphic design or familiarity with tools such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Express or Illustrator.
