The Social Media Coordinator plays a vital role in elevating our company's online presence and engaging with our valued members, guests, and clients across various platforms. Success in this role will be fueled by an ability to collaborate closely with our dedicated team members, immersing oneself in the essence of our esteemed resort property.Reporting structureReports to Campus Marketing and Club Marketing Managers (Co-reporting)Responsibilities:Social Media Strategy:Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to achieve our brand's objectives, increase brand awareness, and drive userResearch and identify trends, best practices, and emerging platforms to stay ahead of the competition and maintain a cutting-edge onlineContent Creation and Management:Create stories, reels, and compelling, visually appealing, and on-brand content for applicable social media platforms.Hotel: 5 posts per week + storiesTrellis: 3 posts per week for the first 8 weeks; 5 posts per week after + storiesThe Shop: 2-3 posts per week + storiesSage 'n' Bloom Floral Studio: 2 posts per week + storiesClub: Assist with content creationUse Hootsuite to design, schedule, staff andh content for all networks, and manage outgoing communication with staff, and inquires across all social networks.Get to know each business line's staff for input of ideas and service stories.Cover events across the campus and prepare and post content/reel within the same day as the event.Review websites to stay in the loop with offerings, and areas of opportunity, to ensure the social media is reflective of the site and vice versa.Review local competitors' social pages frequently for inspiration and share new ideas for shooting content and driving business.Social Community Engagement:Foster and nurture a vibrant online community by actively responding to comments, messages, and inquiries from users in a professional and timely manner.Respond to all Direct Messages quickly.Quickly share applicable re-posts/stories from on-brand, vendors, and followers.Monitor social media conversations, track brand mentions, and address any potential issues or negative feedbackSocial Media Advertising:Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement social media campaigns to reach targeted audiences, boost conversions, and maximize userContinuously analyze and optimize ad performance to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.Analytics and Reporting:Utilize social media analytics tools to monitor and analyze high-performing posts providing regular reports on social media performance, audience insights, and campaignUse data-driven insights to identify areas of improvement and recommend actionable strategies for enhancing social media engagement andInfluencer and Partnership Collaboration:Identify and collaborate with influencers and relevant partners to expand our brand's reach, drive brand advocacy, and promote special campaigns andPlan and execute social media giveaways quarterly - this includes ideas, proposals, posting, communicating/announcing winners, and coordinating pickup. Ensure timely and proper fulfillment of all social media gifts and prizes.Marketing Activities & Organization:Respond to reviews on TripAdvisor and Google Business accounts daily.Organize, maintain, and categorize the campus image library.Coordinate lifestyle, food, products, and other photo and video shoots as needed.Upload extra content (including video clips and photos) and final edited content in Hootsuite.Provide support for marketing activity, tasks, and events as needed.Participate in marketing meetings, providing timely reports on how social media efforts support the revenue goals of the campus.Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and industry developments, incorporating them into our social media strategy where appropriate.Requirements:Knowledge and professional experience working on Hootsuite or similar social media management tools.Knowledge of Canva and ability to create relevant content and hashtags using AI.Ability to recognize and evaluate conservatively branded Influencers and content opportunities and write contracts to facilitate these relationships.Flexible work schedule to cover evening and weekend events as needed.Ability to engage with other employees in a highly positive and uplifting manner, always seeking the best representation of the brand.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field preferred and a minimum of 1 year work experience as a Social Media Coordinator or in a similar role, or 5 years work experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role.Experience creating video and photo content is preferred.In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye forBasic photo and video editing skills, specifically for creating InstagramStrong creative and design sensibilities, able to create engaging visualAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.A passion for staying on top of industry trends and leveraging emerging opportunities in socialThe Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
