Reference #: 2024-64634 Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicant will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a UX Program Lead to manage UX requirements, tasks and implementation throughout the program development lifecycle. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core space and intelligence services and systems. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION: Creates, evaluates and modifies prototypes, user personas, operational scenarios, and process maps to support product and system development, with emphasis on operational context, interaction, physical manipulation, and task analysis Produces specifications describing product/system requirements, based on user input and operational analysis Identifies creative alternatives when presented with barriers to progress Works to optimize tasks, resources, and deliverables in support of program Demonstrates mature decision-making capabilities Participates as senior/lead member of project team and oversees the work of a small team SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Solid experience leading teams or programs involving research and design with the ability to communicate UX / HFE requirements and methods confidently and concisely in an engineering-intensive environment Strong ability to navigate between creative/design activities and technical conversations Strong knowledge of UX best practices, testing methods, accessibility standards and design guidelines Alignment of UX throughout the Agile development process (particularly planning and tracking Agile or SAFe UX activities)

Effective leading stakeholder meetings, design sessions, user events, and ensuring alignment between UX, engineering and our customers Experience working on complex, multi-year projects WHAT SETS YOU APART: Solid design skills with the ability to illustrate whiteboard diagrams/wireframes to convey ideas and facilitate conversations Demonstrated ability to interpret and visualize technical system diagrams and data Big picture perspective to anticipate problems and collaboratively problem-solve Ability to rapidly assess design concepts against requirements, usability and design standard Space domain or related industry experience

Target salary range: USD $118,424.20/Yr. - USD $128,138.65/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.).
