SMX is seeking a SharePoint/Web Developer to support GISA at Fort Belvoir, VA. The SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) will develop, manage, update, and maintain Knowledge Management (KM) systems, including SharePoint sites, databases, and internal websites, serving as repositories for storing, sharing, and utilizing data. This role involves advising the Government on the best use of KM tools to enhance information sharing across analysis, assessments, legislative materials, policies, strategies, budget materials, IT information, and other relevant documents. The SME will also focus on improving user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) to facilitate seamless access and interaction with these KM systems

The proposed salary for this position is:
$122,500-$183,700 USD

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Train system users, including IC partners, and provide user guides as needed.
- Integrate information with other databases as required.
- Utilize automated tools and visualizations to facilitate user access and data analysis.
- Employ specific tools to meet unique office needs, ensuring interoperability and information sharing with IC or state and local partners.
- Create and maintain virtual communities of interest to enable collaboration, information storage, search, discovery, sharing lessons learned, and best practices.
- Report and track metrics to assess progress against programs, policies, and strategies.
- Develop simulations and exercises to test database readiness and communication channels.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve information exchanges across systems and sectors.
- Maintain and update an ODNI-wide repository for instructions, Internal Process Documents (IPDs), and policy memorandums.
- Ensure the usability and accessibility of SharePoint sites and other KM tools by focusing on user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
- Stay updated with the latest SharePoint and KM technologies and best practices, applying them to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of KM systems.
- Build data repositories for various mission needs that generate visualizations to support analysis, reporting, and briefings.
- Configure SharePoint sites, libraries, and lists to meet organizational needs.
- Customize SharePoint sites using web parts, workflows, and templates to enhance functionality.
- Develop and maintain websites and web applications using front-end and back-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP.NET.
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly UI/UX designs for SharePoint sites and web applications.
- Ensure consistency in design elements and user flow.
- Integrate SharePoint with other systems, applications, and databases for data sharing and process automation.
- Design, code, and implement custom solutions, features, and applications within SharePoint and web environments.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and rectify issues, ensuring the reliability and security of SharePoint and web applications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, custom code, and development processes for reference and knowledge sharing.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, including performance optimization and security concerns.
- Collaborate with end-users, administrators, and other team members to gather requirements and provide technical support.
- Offer training and support to ensure efficient utilization of SharePoint and web solutions.
- Ensure SharePoint sites and web applications comply with security and data governance policies.
Required Skills, Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Active TS security clearance with eligibility for SCI and NATO read-on prior to starting work.
- Compliance with DoD 8140 / 8570.01-M requirements at the IATII or IAM level I.
- SharePoint and web development and design formal training and professional certifications.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Familiarity with various cybersecurity technologies, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement in KM processes.
Desired Skills, Experience
- PMP or CAPM certification
- Experience with APL, OPORD, ETMS, and other DoD-specific systems and processes
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and technologies
