Summary: This section focuses on the main purpose of the job in one to four sentences. The Corporate Communications / Business Development Associate reports to the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Marketing and is responsible for assisting with internal and external corporate communications, monitoring media coverage of the company, its product portfolio and key therapeutic areas, and assisting with coordination and tracking of diligence activities in business development. The role will require the ability to manage multiple products / therapeutic areas and may require building new processes within a growing organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This section contains a list of the major responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned. Corporate Communications Assist in drafting internal communications (PowerPoint, WeConnect or email distribution) Develop and maintain editorial calendar for external communications via media channels, social media (LinkedIn) or company website Assist in working with subject matter experts' and outside agencies to draft content (e.g. press releases) for external distribution Manage outside agency on updates needed to corporate website(s) Develop and implement corporate social media posts Develop and distribute reporting on media activities (website traffic, social media metrics, press release engagement) Assist with development of corporate overview materials Maintain a library of corporate assets (e.g., templates, logos, font / image library, etc.) Media Monitoring / Competitive Intelligence Maintain media monitoring platform: brand and corporate search criteria; brand dashboards and weekly / daily alert reporting Monitor key competitive company activity Develop and distribute newsletters on key headlines to key stakeholders Perform ad hoc analysis as directed by brand or senior leadership Business Development Support Assist Business Development team in maintaining diligence records, tracking key status items, maintaining up to date records on materials and diligence reports reviewed during active lead assessments Periodically perform ad hoc analysis (media coverage / competitive intelligence) as needed Perform special projects and other duties as assigned Non-Essential Functions: Standard non-essential functions for all TerSera Therapeutics employees. Proven experience as communications specialist Experience in web design and content production is a plus Experience in copywriting and editing Experience in corporate site management on Social Media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), including content creation, digital asset management, reporting and analytics Solid understanding of project management principles Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; also, experience with photo and video-editing software is an asset (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills Outstanding organizational and planning abilities Proficient command of English Education and/or Experience: Include the education and experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily. BS/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field; advanced degree preferred Previous experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields Experience with media monitoring and analytics platforms (e.g. Meltwater, Google Analytics, FactSet, etc.) desired Previous industry experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals / biotech preferred
