What you will be working on (Job Description):

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software Layer and System Administration, including site creation, server maintenance, upgrades, and patches. Work with management to develop sustainable processes to govern the continued rollout of the Tableau toolset. Manage change processes, including software and hardware upgrades, and patches. Monitor server activity and usage statistics to identify potential performance issues and opportunities for enhancement. Perform performance tuning and server management for the Tableau Server environment (clustering, load balancing). Facilitate change and innovation in legacy systems and processes. Utilize expertise in information visualization and design to create and deploy new platforms and services for visualization initiatives. Create/manage groups, workbooks, projects, database views, data sources, and data connections. Manage and support the migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards) from development to production environments.

What you will bring to us (Required Skills):

8+ years of experience in Tableau administration and visualization development. Must have a Secret clearance and/or eligible for TS/SCI clearance Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Tableau Server, including upgrades and patches. Ability to document requirements and specifications effectively. Experience developing Tableau content such as reports and dashboards. Expertise in providing training and support to business users on the use of Tableau interactive web reports and Tableau Desktop. Proven ability to provide hands-on training to reporting teams to transfer report/dashboard development knowledge. Experience with API development to assist in the development and deployment of custom Tableau extensions.

Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired):

Familiarity with performance tuning, clustering, and load balancing for Tableau environments. Experience managing server environments, including monitoring and troubleshooting server activity and usage statistics.
