Responsibilities:
The Department of Digital Art and Design anticipates openings for part-time (adjunct) instructors at its Old Westbury and Manhattan locations to teach undergraduate courses within the Digital Arts BFA program. Subjects we are seeking teaching for at this time include Digital Compositing and Visual Effects, Portfolio Development for Digital Artists, 3D Modeling and Animation, 2D Animation, Virtual Production, and emerging technologies like Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional experience in Animation, Visual Effects, Digital Arts, and virtual production.
Expertise in relevant software and technologies (e.g., Maya, Nuke, Unreal Engine, motion capture).
Strong portfolio showcasing animation, VFX, and/or virtual production work.
Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience and a strong background in both traditional animation techniques and emerging virtual production workflows.
Familiarity with teaching in a classroom or online environment is a plus.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.

USD $95.00/Hr.
Maximum Salary:
USD $104.00/Hr.
