Summary:
This position is a non-tenure track 9-month, faculty position in the Visual, Performing and Communication Arts Department in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences. This position will be expected to work at the undergraduate level and be able to work closely with other programs within the college. This position will enrich the curriculum in significant ways through expertise in their field and innovative approaches in integrating research into a curriculum. While not eligible for tenure, faculty at rank of Instructor is eligible for promotion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for teaching general education art courses, primarily art appreciation, at the undergraduate level.
- Responsible for student advising, recruiting and participation in program building and committee work.
- Be actively involved in scholarly activity/creative works.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Requirements:
- MA in Art History or Studio Art (minimum) or M.F.A. in Studio Art or closely related area (preferred) is required at the time of appointment.
- A record of successful teaching.
