We are looking for new talent in our graphics office! Student graphic designers are responsible for designing, creating, and printing various marketing materials, including flyers, posters, banners, and digital media images for multiple customers (Wood Center programs, student organizations, university departments, and other external). They maintain the electronic work order system and invoice for all work orders, keep an inventory of supplies and orders when needed, such as paper and toner, and maintain the computer programs and equipment as needed.

Applicants must be enrolled as UAF students taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

A successful applicant will:

* Have a strong creative design process, with experience working with a variety of graphic design programs such as Photoshop, In-design, Adobe Illustrator. Must be comfortable using Mac computers.

* Be creative, and understand principles of color and design.

* Work as team with other student graphic artists, being able to provide and receive feedback on work.

* Employee excellent customer service to clients.

* Maintain excellent time management and organizational skills

* Pay close attention to detail and has great editing skills

* Is familiar with UAF's Marketing guidelines

Minimum Qualifications:

UA student enrolled in 6 or more credits with 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

Position Details:

This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only.

This student staff position is 20 hours/week during the academic year with opportunities for up to 40 hours/week during the summer and pays $18.00/hour.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
