The creators of the top selling and critically acclaimed racing games’ franchise, has an exciting opportunity for a Motion Designer. The Motion Designer will work with the UI Content Director and UI team to create pre-visual concepts for bringing life and excitement to our UI and screen transitions through motion. The ideal candidate would have experience in creating UI content and motion graphics, a strong sense of user interface and user experience design, a cultivated aesthetic sense of motorsport and contemporary visual interface design.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality motion graphic assets; videos; transitions, animated UI elements, etc.
  • Ensure that all UI motion graphics are consistent with the overall design aesthetic, brand guidelines, and product vision.
  • Collaborate with the UI design team to understand the project’s visual design goals and requirements and develop motion graphics that enhance the user experience and bring the UI to life.
  • Design and create animations that help users understand how to use the product, provide feedback on actions, and communicate important information.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that motion graphics and animations are correctly implemented and optimized for performance.
  • Balance quality with efficiency while managing timely deliveries in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Able to take direction and incorporate feedback.
  • Strong understanding of User Experience and User Interface.
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop).
  • Cultivated aesthetic sense and keen sense of energy through dynamic motion.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new/proprietary software.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Broad knowledge of UI implementation with in-engine tools and restraints.
  • Post-production & Motion Designer skills including, but not limited to, color grading, typography, transitions, and compositing.
  • Familiarity experience with Unreal, Unity, or other game engines.
  • Automotive enthusiast with a passion for racing games.
  • Examples of good graphic design.
  • Examples of transitions to demonstrate pacing, rhythm, and flow.
  • Examples of high-resolution Motion Designer.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $42.18 to $46.87 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
