We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join the Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Product Design Team who is passionate about uncovering user pain points and delights in digital interfaces, can effectively articulate issues and opportunities to team members, and will collaboratively strategize around potential solutions. The GMNS Product Design Team is focused on creating and improving digital experiences for Merchant and Network (B2B) customers. This role is a unique opportunity for a passionate, driven researcher to help grow research and design within GMNS, with an initial focus on Amex Offers. Lead research efforts in close collaboration with product and design colleagues Execute research studies using a variety of methods to explore user needs, pain points, and opportunities to create more value Source, screen and schedule participants for research studies (domestic and international) in order to test new features and products, ensuring exceptional sampling and participant quality. Triangulate data from multiple sources to generate insights that elevate stakeholder understanding of our users Lead the creation of research artifacts that drive progress and guide strategic thinking, and operate as a strategic insight partner, leading efforts to synthesize and communicate insights Manage budget, scope and delivery for research studies conducted by 3rd party vendors and internal teams. Continually evolve, improve, and evangelize the user research tactics used by the team. Clearly and confidently communicate with an affinity for visual storytelling Be a passionate advocate for Amex Merchant and Network customers Qualifications 5 years of hands-on research experience Demonstrates an expert understanding of fundamental UX research principles and concepts Demonstrated experience in identifying research needs and integrating user research into product designs and design practices Demonstrated experience with delivering qualitative/quantitative research studies such as: usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), user needs interviews, surveys, card sorting, tree testing, and heuristic evaluations Track record of delivering regular usability testing: moderation, screener and test plan creation, debriefing, facilitation, and presentation of results and recommendations Experience using dscout, UserTesting, or similar testing platform Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects Ability to synthesize multiple insights into concise recommendations for customer-focused outcomes Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience Must be able to work in-office from NYC at least 3 days/week Qualifications Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
