Technical Writer/ User Support at Manpower Group in Meridian, Idaho, United States Job Description Technical Writer with Client Support We're looking for a Technical Writer who's comfortable creating and continuously improving user manuals and FAQs, while also fielding questions from clients. This person will play a key role in translating technical details into easy-to-understand documentation for non-technical users. What You'll Do: + Write & Maintain User Documentation : Develop user manuals and FAQs based on information gathered from developers and QA teams. You'll start from a white paper and build out comprehensive documentation. + Field Client Questions : Respond to client inquiries via phone or email. Since you'll be the person creating the manuals, you'll have the inside knowledge to help troubleshoot based on your documentation. + Continuous Improvement : Use client feedback to continuously update and improve the user manuals and FAQs. If multiple users are confused about the same thing, you'll adjust the documentation to clarify and simplify. + Collaboration : Work closely with developers, QA, and other teams to understand the platform deeply and gather the necessary information for creating accurate documentation. + Track Engagement : Your involvement in platforms like GitHub and SharePoint will help the team gauge how engaged you are while working remotely. Who You Are: + Technical Aptitude : While you don't need a heavy technical background, you should be tech-savvy and able to navigate platforms easily. + Client Interaction : Comfortable speaking directly with clients to clarify questions and update documentation accordingly. + Flexible & Adaptable : In the beginning, you'll need to be available for in-person check-ins 2-3 times a week. Over time, this will likely decrease, but flexibility is key. + Self-Starter : Able to take initiative in gathering the information you need from various stakeholders and documenting it clearly for users. + Experience : Proven experience drafting technical documentation for non-technical users.
