The Lead Audio Quality Control Technician is responsible for inventory control/quality control functions to assure Audio equipment availability for production to meet order fulfillment. Duties include pulling, staging, set up, testing and preparing audiovisual product for shipment.

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure effective communication within Operations department and other areas within company are practiced maximizing efficiencies and deadlines are met
  • Assist with the training, monitoring, and managing of activities within their discipline. Explain work, monitor work quality, and assist to resolve discipline specific problems. Help to provide resources in assisting employees to improve and maximize performance.
  • Assists and backfills discipline lead with the planning of all day-to-day responsibilities including show preps, client demos, organization, and workflow
  • Quality assurance with regards to audio equipment preparation and traceability
  • In-depth understanding of quality standards and the benefit to providing a superior product
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and CAD drawings
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and employees
  • Great communicator verbally and in writing to be able to communicate and interact with people at all levels in and out of the company
  • Deadline driven, have a sense of urgency, and be proactive, possess excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize situations and tasks by importance
  • Determine when components require operation in system or as standalone unit and ensure that all components and ancillary items are available and represented on show order and reservation to provide for optimal operation. Communicate discrepancies and clarify requirements with the Project Coordinators, Equipment Logistics Coordinators, and Discipline Manager/Lead. Track equipment not available in physical inventory through computerized inventory records. Report and rectify scheduling discrepancies or unusual availability issues.
  • Set up product components for inspection and functional test to meet requirements of customer order and replicate show conditions. Ensure that systems are complete and operable to meet customer requirements. Complete checklist for equipment to check and document all required elements and components to ensure compliance with quality standards. Forward product which fails LMG's quality standards to Engineering for further analysis and or repair including the time frame in which the equipment will be needed. Follow up to ensure that equipment will be repaired and available for shipment within required time limits and work with engineering and supervision to investigate and determine alternatives to resolve malfunctions, define alternative set ups and fulfill customer orders meeting quality specification.
  • Organize, clean, and maintain warehouse storage of inventory to include coded binning system for the proper and safe storage of equipment. Assists with the design and location of equipment storage to enhance work effectiveness.
  • Assist to perform any warehouse operations as required including attending to the needs of visitors picking up or returning product, making local deliveries, counting and tracking warehouse consumables, and responding to inquiries from internal staff or customers.

Base Salary Range: $21.73/hr - $32.20/hr This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
