About the role: The Marketing Data Strategist II is responsible for managing the high-quality execution of significant portions of projects that inform and drive critical business decisions or support marketing excellence at BSC. The Strategist II will develop relations with business partners, perform creative analytics and research to develop compelling recommendations, and provide excellent management of his/her modules of the project. Your responsibilities will include: Responsible for working with franchise teams to develop high impact marketing and business strategies. Will rapidly become an expert on the points of view and processes for understanding the marketplace, identifying market trends and growth opportunities, diagnosing customer needs and behaviors, predicting likely competitive dynamics, and analyzing the economics of the business so that marketing can make effective choices to maximize competitive advantage. Conducts market and product opportunity assessment, strategy formulation and valuation for: New products developed in-house; Potential acquisitions; Growth opportunities/performance improvement strategies for existing businesses. Relationship development/collaboration with brand marketing resources, as well as a broad set of other stakeholders Including R&D, clinical, outcomes, business development, and sales to support a data driven strategy Determines customer requirements and translates requirement into simple digestible data visualization reports Develops and implements structured, practical, fact-based approach to strategy development, valuation, and business plans. Uses and can command data to highlight key organization trends and collaborate with businesses to identify causes, costs and potential interventions/solutions Participates in period audits and analysis to ensure accuracy, optimization of systems and reporting as well as new opportunities Collaborates with marketing and sales to ensure tactics are clearly linked to strategy, and creatively developed with overall strategy in-mind. Conducts and/or directs vendors in market analysis and research to answer senior management questions about the business. Ensures day-to-day Marketing Strategy and Analysis activities effectively support strategic choice development and revenue objectives. Works with franchise teams to identify and implement optimal research methodologies. Builds the Marketing Strategy and Analysis content for specific franchises. Required qualifications: Minimum 3+ years' experience with master's degree (or higher) in quantitative discipline (e.g. data science, engineering, business analytics, mathematics, or similar) Minimum of 3+ years' experience with analytics, statistics, market research, business strategy, product marketing in medical device industry or healthcare field Demonstrated success and comfort with defined and ambiguous data sets.Must be able to synthesize, aggregate, and harvest data to tell a comprehensive visual story Experience in extracting, organizing, and analyzing data from claims database, electronic medical records (EHR) or registries using SQL, Python, Snowflake and R Experience with syndicated datasets from IQVIA, Definitive Healthcare, etc. Demonstrated success and advanced experience in execution of research and analysis capabilities utilizing various platforms (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, or another BI platform) Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated high degree of independence and professional maturity an ability to navigate through ambiguity - establishing procedures where required.
