The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations will be responsible for owning and optimizing our marketing technology stack, driving performance from the email marketing channel, developing and refining workflows, and ensuring the effective execution of marketing campaigns. This role will involve managing marketing automation systems (e.g. Hubspot), overseeing email marketing, and maintaining a clean and actionable marketing database. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, technically adept, performance and efficiency focused, and able to manage complex projects while driving continuous improvement. As this function develops in the organization, it is anticipated that this position may manage other Junior team members. However, this individual is expected to function independently in this area of expertise for a period.

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations will be responsible for owning and optimizing our marketing technology stack, driving performance from the email marketing channel, developing and refining workflows, and ensuring the effective execution of marketing campaigns. This role will involve managing marketing automation systems (e.g. Hubspot), overseeing email marketing, and maintaining a clean and actionable marketing database. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, technically adept, performance and efficiency focused, and able to manage complex projects while driving continuous improvement. As this function develops in the organization, it is anticipated that this position may manage other Junior team members. What you will do:
1. Marketing Technology Strategy:
- Own and optimize the strategy for our marketing technology stack to ensure effective use and business value.
- Oversee technology governance, training, and adoption across the marketing team.
- Identify and build optimal workflows between marketing tech, sales tech, and product tech.
- Continuously improve workflows and automation systems supporting marketing campaigns.
2. Email Marketing:
- Execute and manage all aspects of email marketing, including calendar oversight, segmentation, and creative testing within HubSpot.
- Develop and implement AB testing strategies to optimize email performance.
- Track and analyze email performance KPIs, making recommendations for improvement.
3. Campaign Operations:
- Build and execute campaigns in collaboration with demand generation, content, events, and product marketing teams.
- Support campaign planning to ensure alignment with technology stack and effective tracking of performance metrics.
- Design and implement lead scoring and attribution methodologies.
4. Account-Based Marketing (ABM):
- Establish foundational technology and strategies to support account-based marketing and drive engagement with high-value target accounts.
- Collaborate with sales and demand generation teams to identify target accounts and create personalized marketing campaigns.
- Utilize marketing technology to support ABM initiatives, including segmentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of ABM efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
5. Automation and Data Management:
- Manage and optimize marketing automation systems.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of marketing effectiveness and performance metrics.
- Facilitate actionable data reporting for marketing and business decisions.
- Oversee the marketing database, ensuring its cleanliness, accuracy, and usability.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing, sales, revenue operations, and product teams to align automation database structures and optimize processes.
- Support sales, revenue operations, and marketing process development and strategic planning exercises.
7. Management (in the future):
- Leads and manages a small team of skilled marketing professionals, directing efforts, prioritizing work, and resolves escalated issues.
- Motivates a team through strategic vision, manages performance, provides feedback, and develops team members.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in a Marketing Operations role, with strong expertise in connecting systems, reporting, and optimizing processes.
- 2+ years prior management experience within the function strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in B2B demand generation.
- Proficiency in HubSpot marketing automation, Salesforce, and Demandbase.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics and experience with advertising or ABM platforms (e.g., Demandbase/6Sense, Metadata, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook).
- Technically capable with a keen ability to document and improve processes.
- Highly data-driven with experience leveraging analytics to inform decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proactive, agile, and able to handle unexpected challenges with composure.
