Intern, Social Media Marketing

The journey of a Summer Intern in HMA Marketing & Social Marketing offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of automotive social media. Timeline:

Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders, partners, the in-house teams to review and report on Social Media trends and platform news/updates.
  • Work with IWA and other agency partners to develop a planning/production calendar for social content.
  • Research social media branded content and monitor Hyundai mentions across platforms and FB groups.
  • Provide one innovative idea that represents an opportunity for the Hyundai brand on social media. Create an assignment summary and presentation on how it will benefit the brand.
  • Sit in on creative, media, social media-related meetings to provide fresh eyes on projects and keep conversational notes.
  • Sit in on organizational meetings to understand the business and organization.
  • Meet with other business units-PR, CSR, H.com, CRM, Experiential, etc.-to better understand the Hyundai brand and marketing objectives.
  • Research other OEMs and Brands to see and report on how our competitors are engaging across social media channels/platforms.
Additional Notes:
  • Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2025
  • Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
  • Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4x per week, depending on business/project need)
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
  • Compensation: $25.00/Hour
Education:
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 through June 2027.
