CENG Graphics and Digital Designer Job no: 544457 Work type: Staff Location: San Luis Obispo Categories: Unit 9 - CSUEU - Technical Support Services, Probationary, Part Time, Marketing/Communications, Telecommute eligible (work onsite as scheduled and/or as requested and telecommute as scheduled) Job Summary Under direct supervision of the CENG Director of Marking and Communication, this part-time position is responsible for carrying out various components of the marketing and communications program. Specifically, this position is responsible for taking, designing and developing photographic, visual images and digital assets needed for publications and electronic venues; serving as a CENG graphic designer; coordinating with vendors; and serving as a graphics and marketing consultant with the director, to support the College and departments. Department Summary The CENG Marketing and Communication team members work in collaboration with each other, sharing ideas and innovations with respect to the marketing and communication goals of the college, to coordinate and implement strategic initiatives, and support each other to ensure the success of the college communication plan. Key Qualifications Working knowledge or ability to quickly gain knowledge of applicable graphic design software and applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Bridge from the Adobe Creative Cloud. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly gain knowledge of graphics design, as well as the artistic and technical skills necessary to produce visually and emotionally appealing publications, brochures, and images. Ability to plan and coordinate graphic art communications projects. Ability to consult and communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students and to understand their needs. Education and Experience Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in the field of graphic design, fine arts, or a related field, and one year of design experience. Additional qualifying technical experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
