Job Description

The Digital Communications Specialist will advance the philanthropic mission of Connecticut Children's Medical Center by creating and managing digital content to support the communication, stewardship and fundraising activities of Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation. Responsible for the maintenance of the Foundation website and assistance with the development and distribution of all digital assets for the Foundation.

Responsibilities

Write, design and distribute digital assets for the Foundation to align with an overall digital communications strategy. Create content for general Foundation web pages, annual/leadership giving fundraising pages, event registration pages and event fundraising pages. Create content and distribute strategic Foundation communications (e.g. informational emails, solicitation emails and eNewsletters). Manage Foundation website to ensure all information is engaging, timely and relevant. Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Donor Relations. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED Required. Minimum two years of experience in web design, communications, marketing or related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilitites Required:

Knowledge of:

Web design, administration and management. Online event and gift processing platforms (currently Classy and OneCause). CRM platforms (currently Salesforce) and communications platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud). Social Media platforms (currently Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn). Skills:

Exceptional communication skills with strong emphasis on web content writing ability. Experience with graphic design (Adobe Photoshop/InDesign). Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop relationships with a broad range of personalities. Strong organizational skills. Ability to:

Work independently. Handle confidential information and demonstrate good judgment. Work as a team member and maintain flexibility to achieve Foundation's goals. Prioritize work and multi-task in a time-constrained environment. Value cultural diversity and other individual differences in the workforce.
